Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ali moved to Penticton with her family in 2003. Encouraged by a school counselor who recognized her exceptional creativity, Ali entered Penticton School of Hair’s program while she was still in high school; she graduated from hair school in 2010 and brings 15 years of experience in the industry to the team.
Ali is a self-admitted extroverted introvert – she is a social butterfly who likes to re-energize by unplugging, stepping back and creating peacefulness for herself. She is creative, friendly and loves to get to know people - she is also very appreciative of quiet time at home with her family. A big fan of our fabulous lakes and trails, Ali absolutely loves the outdoors; she enjoys camping, boating, hiking and generally all-things nature. “It’s an unpopular opinion, but winter is my favourite season. I think snow is one of the most beautiful things in the world.”
Ali a true artist at her core, and enjoys repurposing old furniture, crafting, and both sewing and crocheting on her spare time. The ever-changing nature of the hair industry has kept her inspired and excited about her craft, and it pushed her to keep learning, and continuously grow.
Having been a stylist and colourist for more than a decade, Ali boasts a very well-rounded skillset and experience both cutting and colouring hair. At her previous salon, she was the go-to girl for traditional foils… a truly under-appreciated skill at this time in hair. Not one to shy away from new trends, Ali also enjoys keeping up with our industry’s ever-changing looks, techniques and styles. What hair trends will come next? Who knows.. but we know Ali will be the first to want to know all about them!
