So how come some stylists have one price, while others have another? And, what's with these titles?
What you're seeing in play is our level system! In most cases, each stylist begins with us at a Level 1. This doesn't mean that they have no idea what they're doing, in fact.. they could be very well-seasoned stylists already! At Ascend Salon, Level 1 just means that this stylist is still new to us, and they are still working to build their clientele. Once they reach our level-up goals, they move up to a Level 2, and so on.
Why is a level system important?
We believe that the level system is our greatest tool. It’s true that in many salons, part of the idea behind levels is to provide a variety of options to better serve the needs of our community. Simply put - more price points get them a wider client base.
We absolutely want to be available to anyone in our community, but the primary purpose of our level system is to define a clear career path of growth, achievement and subsequent reward for our team members.
This system is what builds careers. Our level system offers incentive, encouragement and reward for the hard work our stylists put in every day. It keeps us focused, it gives us guidance and it helps us plan for the future by showing us the bigger picture.
We want our salon fam-jam to know success, to smash their goals, to continue to strive to grow and to arrive every day feeling happy, confident and empowered, knowing they have a winning plan to help them take their career wherever they want it to go! This is why we have invested in the Summit Salon program, and why we continue to follow their industry-leading expertise.
How many levels are there?
Six in total, with Level 6 being the most in-demand stylist available.
